THE DA VINCI CODE
by Dan Brown
We've heard the detractors and the fear mongers and even a few proponents of the theory brought forth in this book. Because of them, the Da Vinci Code is turning into one of the most controversial pieces of work this decade.
But whether anyone likes it or not, the uncontested truth is that it's a NOVEL, not a textbook documentary.
When Doubleday Publishing released the hard cover edition three years ago most of us didn't even hear about it. The story is, actually, the second in a series by Dan Brown with his protagonist Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor of symbology who first appeared i in "Angels and Demons" (2000).
As our Book of the Month, we're including our link with Barnes & Noble for those who wish to purchase. We're also anticipating that many of our members may want to start with "Angels and Demons", the first in the series.
If you don't find it in your public library, you can order Angels and Demons below. But no matter where you start, be sure to give yourself a real treat and read "The Da Vinci Code" first, then see Tom Hanks in the movie!
